Road To The Oscars: The 73rd Golden Globe Nominations

This morning (Australian time) the Hollywood Foreign Press Association released their nominations for the annual Golden Globes, of which this year’s crop of film and television awards will be held on January 10th, 2016 (only a few short weeks, really!). The Golden Globes nominations represents the “official” commencement of Hollywood’s Awards Season, which will culminate in the Academy Awards at the end of February.   1. I love how Mad Max is doing in the awards circles but the comedies and musicals category is just ridiculous now and I remember it being pretty stupid last year.

    1. I don't see why they need to break up the film category into two such arbitrary labels. Why not just do what the Academy does and expand a single movie category with more possible slots for nominations.

      Grrrr don't get me started….

  2. OK, so here's how it goes:

    DiCaprio – best actor
    Mad Max – best film
    George Miller – best director

    Anything else, and we riot.

    Also, how is "The Martian" a comedy?
