Irving Ravetch (together with his wife Harriet Frank Jr.) - 1920-2010

Academy Award Nominated screenwriter Irving Ravetch has passed away, aged 89.

Ravetch was nominated for Oscar for his work on Paul Newman’s Hud, released in 1963. Ravetch, together with his screenwriter wife Harriet Frank Jr., also worked on the Oscar nominated screenplay for Norma Rae, as well as films as diverse as The Long, Hot Summer, The Sound & The Fury, Murphy’s Romance, and Stanley & Iris.

We tip our hat to his passing. Mr Ravetch died on September 19th, from causes relating to pneumonia.
