  1. I've heard this is a film you love it or you hate it. It appears you're somewhere in the middle.

    Good review guys!

    1. Yeah, we're in the middle on this one. I think another viewing down the track will either confirm or modify my original sentiments… at least, I hope it would modify them….

      Thanks for stopping by Sam!

  2. Hi guys. I don't think you could be more wrong about this film. Spike Jonez's film technique may not be the most "normal", if you will, but I think he captured the angst and depression felt by adults watching this film who wish to still be children. At least, that's what I got out of it…

  3. i agree with Brian. i rechecked my own review and had given it four out of five shots. It's definitely a movie for adults…though i think kids can get something from it. There are layers that go very deep here and i think Jonez did a killer job of fleshing out the book with poignant metaphors and poetry.

If you either love it or hate it, i'm gonna have to go with love.

  4. It really depends on the crowd you're watching this with. I had a bunch of hipsters in my audience that were insistent that no one else like the film.

    1. Perhaps, perhaps. I'm not so sure, though, that watching this film with other like-minded people is necessarily the way to enjoy it. I enjoyed Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, I was with several other people who also enjoyed it, but there's plenty of internet criticizm to say I shouldn't have enjoyed it….. and yet I enjoyed it… for all its faults.
