His name might not immediately be recognisable, but his face sure is.\u00a0 Gammon is best known for his work in the Western genre, in films as diverse as <em>Silverado<\/em>, <em>Wyatt Earp<\/em>, <em>Cold Mountain<\/em> and most recently in <em>Appaloosa<\/em>. He has also appeared in numerous other films, including <em>Major League<\/em>, <em>Any Which Way You Can<\/em>,<em> Natural Born Killers<\/em>,<em> Point Break<\/em>, <em>The Iron Giant<\/em>, <em>The Cell<\/em> and<em> In The Electric Mist<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gammon also appeared in numerous television series across his career, including <em>Gunsmoke<\/em>, <em>Bonanza<\/em>, <em>The Waltons<\/em>, <em>Charlie&#8217;s Angels<\/em>, <em>Murder She Wrote<\/em>, <em>The Equalizer<\/em>, <em>The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles<\/em> and most recently, <em>Grey&#8217;s Anatomy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Considering the quality of projects he was involved in, you&#8217;d think his name might be more recognised!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gammon passed away this week from a variety of cancers.
