Such a great quote, and so perfect to encompass this film. This is a "you owe me" film in every way. There's nothing redeemable about any of it.

He seems to excel doing the Before Sunset's and indie stuff, so maybe he should stick to that. However, I'm sure the pay cheque for this was far greater which takes me back to Ben Affleck in…Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back…when he tells Matt Damon about art films versus pay cheque movies… Let me dig out the quote: "You gotta do the safe picture. Then you can do the art picture. But then sometimes you gotta do the payback picture because your friend says you owe him…"
