It isn't anywhere near as good as the original and the added story elements don't necessarily do it any good but it has its moments.

Yeah, she did seem miscast, didn't she. Young and attractive, doesn't always make for the best heroines in a film, when you need mature and intelligent. Nice Ellen Ripley catch there too, i didn't pick that.

I felt that Winstead was miscast. She’s a very talented actress in general, but her character is written as an obvious homage to Ellen Ripley and I just felt that out of the gate Winstead was far too young and innocent a choice to take on that type of role.
