Vale – Emma Chambers

English actress Emma Chambers, best known for her roles in The Vicar of Dibley and Notting Hill, has passed away.

Chambers came to prominence playing the dimwitted verger Alice Tinker on the BBC comedy series The Vicar of Dibley, alongside Dawn French, Gary Waldhorn and Roger Lloyd-Pack, following early roles in The Bill and a Dickens miniseries version of Martin Chuzzlewit, and would also appear as a regular on Pond Life.

Ms Chambers would play Hugh Grant’s younger sister Honey in the 1999 romantic comedy smash Notting Hill (also starring Julia Roberts), and had a minor role in war drama miniseries Bravo Two Zero, with Sean Bean.

Emma Chambers passed away on February 21st, aged 53.
