Happy New Year – 2013!!

Happy new Year! Welcome to 2013, the year after the one in which we’re all supposed to be dead, apparently. Having now survived the apocalypse, we can look forward to many more years of living in this thing we call.. society. That, and the next installment of The Hobbit later this year. Can’t wait!

Happy new Year! Welcome to 2013, the year after the one in which we’re all supposed to be dead, apparently. Having now survived the apocalypse, we can look forward to many more years of living in this thing we call… society. That, and the next installment of The Hobbit later this year. Can’t wait!

2012 was certainly an eventful one in film; we saw the final Chris Nolan Batman film, The Avengers rocked our world, Prometheus didn’t, the Spider-Man reboot came and went (our review of which will be up in a couple of months), The Hunger Games became the new franchise-de-jour (review coming in a couple of weeks), and the increasingly terrible Twilight Saga came to its whimpering conclusion. I’m not so sure 2013 has as much going for it at this early stage, but we can only hope! At least there’s a bunch of Hobbit films coming every year to keep us all amused!

As we mentioned yesterday, you’ll notice our brand new logo making its debut today, as we make a few changes visually around the site. Hope you like it as much as we do.

We’d like to wish all our readers a very happy new year, and we look forward to seeing you down in the comments section!

    1. I'm sure it will be, Dan! I must try and make a point of getting more content your way too… I've been a bit slack lately with that. On the positive side, however, as I type this I currently have enough reviews ready to go to get me through til September 2013, which means I've got plenty of time to do more for others… Expect some new Top 10 lists coming your way in the next few months, my friend.

    1. My review of The Hobbit is online tomorrow, Ruth, I hope you can check it out!! Prometheus left me "meh"…. You and I agree on that!!

  1. Sounds like you liked The Hobbit! Cool, I look forward to your review. And I'd much rather wait for a Hobbit sequel than wander the post-apocalyptic wasteland looking for canned goods, so I'm especially glad that the apocalypse never happened.
My recent post The Postman (1997)

    1. Ha ha, wouldn't it be a shame if all the can openers were destroyed in the apocalypse?

You'll have to wait until thursday to read my review of The Hobbit, but yeah, I did enjoy it (sneaky!) and can't wait for the next installment.
