Australian actor Jonathan Hardy has passed away. Mr Hardy is best known for his Oscar nomination for the screenplay on Breaker Morant, in 1980. Hardy, born in New Zealand and a resident of Britain for a short time before emigrating to Australia, made appearences in films such as Mad Max, Moulin Rouge, and The Devil’s Playground. He directed 80’s pop-star Laura Brannigan in Backstage, while international audiences would recognise his voice as the character Dominar Rygel XVI in the sci-fi series Farscape.
Mr Hardy passed away on July 30th, aged 71.
