Jonathan Hardy – 1940-2012

Australian actor Jonathan Hardy has passed away. Mr Hardy is best known for his Oscar nomination for the screenplay on Breaker Morant, in 1980. Hardy, born in New Zealand and a resident of Britain for a short time before emigrating to Australia, made appearences in films such as Mad Max, Moulin Rouge, and The Devil’s Playground. He directed 80′s pop-star Laura Brannigan in Backstage, while international audiences would recognise his voice as the character Dominar Rygel XVI in the sci-fi series Farscape.

Mr Hardy passed away on July 30th, aged 71.
