Tip of the hat this afternoon, as we learn of the death of British actor Simon MacCorkindale, who passed away from bowel cancer yesterday. Mr MacCorkindale appeared in a number of films during the 70′s and 80′s, including the Agatha Christie plotted film Death On The Nile, The Sword & The Sorcerer, and Jaws 3D (in 1983). His vast television credits include appearances on shows a diverse as The Dukes Of Hazzard, Fantasy Island, Falcon Crest, Counterstrike, Relic Hunter and, most recently, New Tricks.
Mr MacCorkindale was married to fellow actress Susan George, and they had no children.
Mr MacCorkindale was 58.
